Family Services Development Officer for Autism

Do you care for a child with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder? This service may be able to help.

The Community Fund has awarded a grant to the charity "Children in Touch" to fund a Family Services Development Officer for Autism, covering Oxfordshire. The aim of the grant is to develop support services for people whose child has been diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder.

The Family Services Development Officer can:

Give support if you've just had a child diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder
Provide information about autism services in Oxfordshire etc.
Put families in touch with each other
Work with support groups
Set up training, workshops and events
Work with local professionals to develop services for people with autism
